After some extensive repair works, the rebuild of a partially collapsed tenement block at 127-129 Albert Road is nearing completion.
In October 2017, Storm Ophelia caused the façade of the building to crumble leaving the residents without their homes for many years.
Contract Building Services (Scotland) Ltd were appointed by Glasgow City Council to complete extensive statutory repairs, ensuring the building was restored.
The works delivered by CBS`s specialist team comprise re-construction of the front elevation, comprehensive stonework, structural works, the installation of windows, internal rot works, the renewal of roof coverings and internal refurbishment.
This building refurbishment is making exceptional progress and is nearing completion at which time the residents can return to their homes.
Gavin Taylor, CBS Director said “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Glasgow City Council. The Albert Road project has not been without its challenges however our teams are incredibly experienced in the repair and refurbishment of tenement buildings and have delivered the highest quality standard whilst being considerate of the local community.”
