As a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic and the associated guidance from the Scottish Government, a decision was made to protect all of our employees, associates, clients and members of the public by temporarily closing our sites.
Since then, we have been continuously monitoring the industry and Government guidance. We have drawn up extensive plans for returning to work and made preparatory modifications to our sites and workplaces to facilitate measures to support enhanced hygiene and social distancing.
The Scottish Government have announced the six stages of Construction Scotlands` restart plan for non-essential construction activity. They also confirmed that enhanced operating procedures, which are aligned with Public Health Scotland guidance on Covid-19, must be implemented in the workplace.
Therefore, from Monday 1st June 2020 we will be undertaking a phased return to construction operations. All parties will be operating under the stringent controls of our Covid-19 Site Operating Procedures.
This decision has been enabled by the cooperation of our supply chain, which includes their commitment to meet and exceed all recommendations within our enhanced procedures and protocols.
