Contract Building Services are to undertake the complete refurbishment of a sheltered housing development in Govan on behalf of Linthouse Housing Association.
The £1.1million project features individual very sheltered housing apartments and the extensive transformation will create 11 no. modern and affordable main door flats for tenants aged 55+.
It will feature alterations to existing layouts, a complete mechanical and electrical refit, insulation throughout, new windows and doors, new kitchens, bathrooms and heating system, as well as external upgrading works to the surrounding paths and courtyards.
The refurbishment of Elder Grove Court is well underway and is scheduled for completion in October 2019.
Gavin Taylor, Director of CBS, said: “The accommodation was built in 2010 to provide supported living accommodation and by the time we have finished it will be unrecognisable. The transformation will be significant and provide much-needed affordable housing.”
