At CBS, we understand just how important it is to encourage the next generation of talent to ensure the industry continues to grow and develop.
CBS Directors were keen to make a valuable contribution to the development of young people`s employability skills and their career aspirations.
With that in mind, we have partnered with Newlands Junior College in Glasgow to provide a work experience programme for an initial period of six weeks.
Our structured work placements are designed to encourage the personal and professional development of the students, providing a taste of a career in the construction industry.
Working alongside time served joiners, roofers, slaters and bricklayers; the students will be given the opportunity to gain skills specific to their preferred trade.
Risk management arrangements, a detailed programme and company induction are in place ready for the students` arrival.
We hope our well-structured programme will have a positive impact on the students, providing the right stepping stone from education into the world of work.
